Announcement of Appointment
Laval, October 8, 2024 — We are pleased to announce the appointment of Louis Blain, CPA, as a partner at EC2.
Louis Blain is a Chartered Professional Accountant with a successful career. With extensive experience in accounting, entrepreneurship, internal succession planning, financial advisory services, and mergers and acquisitions, Louis brings significant expertise to our team.
A graduate of the Université du Québec à Montréal, Louis co-founded Blain, Joyal, Charbonneau, Chartered Accountants, S.E.N.C.R.L, where he worked for 27 years to develop one of the most recognized firms in Montérégie. He joined our firm EC2 in May 2023 to pursue his passion for transactional services and to leverage his expertise in business financing, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic advice for the benefit of EC2 clients.
Over the past year, Louis has had a significant impact on our firm and team:
- The launch of “Au Cœur de la relève”, a training program for successors and buyers on acquiring a business.
- Several successful transactions in business financing and M&A.
- Sharing his expertise and experience, as well as his exemplary leadership, contributing to the success of our team members and clients.
In addition to his professional achievements, Louis is actively involved in the Montérégie community and has already received the prestigious CA Emeritus award for his outstanding contribution.
